Iberdrola, leader in the provision of renewable energy, needed to position itself among the drivers of the electric car before the boom of sustainable transport. However, they lacked data on a national scale about behavior patterns and opinions of drivers. The solution was to access the results of the first National Electric Vehicle Driver Survey which was widely disseminated in top mass media outlets due to the interest generated by the responses of 1312 private drivers of electric vehicles.
